Stevens Auction Company is pleased to announce its commission to sell at public auction the contents of Cedarhurst ca. 1857 in Holly Springs, MS along with choice items from other estates in Aberdeen MS, Huntsville, AL, and Louisville, Ky. When combined these estates contain a treasure trove of rare and hard to find antiques which include full and half tester Plantation beds, 19th Century lighting, artwork, palace size and multiple size handmade Persian rugs, garden statuary and other garden items, cut glass, china, crystal and hundreds of other pieces of Southern finery.

The Auction will take place at Cedarhurst which has been the seat of the Belk Family for over one hundred years. It is currently owned by Mrs. Fred Belk and has been recently sold so that she may retire and enjoy her new home in the Memphis area. Cedarhurst was built in 1857 with slave made bricks and wonderful iron work from the local foundry and magnificent Venetian glass The French Gothic structure has been owned by only two families. The first is the late Dr. Charles Bonner, the builder, and the late Hon. W.A. Belk outstanding statesman, educator, and jurist.

Open house will be October 2, 2020 from 10am to 5pm and the auction will begin at 10am on October 3, 2020. Due to covid 19 regulations it will be mandatory that you wear a mask at all times. We will have hand sanitizer available on auction day. Refreshments will be available with a somewhat limited menu and outside restroom facilities will be available.
